I just had the transmission rebuilt in my 95 F350. Its a E4 behind a 7.3 powerstroke. My question is this. What is the correct RPM's for that transmission in OD lets say at 55 mph?

I think that its running to many rpm for od. It will shift through all the gears so I know its shifting out right. It just seems that the OD should reduce my rpms more.

Its 2500 at 55 now.

I have a '94 7.3 idi w/turbo and and after market e4od and 4.10 diff. At 100km/hr (60 mph) its right at 2k. Sounds like you have a real low geared diff or maybe the torque converter isnt locking up.

Has calculators for RPM. You input your tire size, transmission (OD, in your case), and gear ratio. It calculates RPM @ MPH for you.

That will give you a baseline. If you are more, your tachometer is off (this is common) or your T/C is not locking up.

If you do not know your tire height in inches, there is a calculator for that too, just put in 245 70 16, etc or whatever your tire is to calculate height in inches.
