I have not even seen a woman using them. I've got several in the shop if you want straps for yours, brand new in the package.

The strap is useless, and sometimes dangerous.I never use them.Is your timmer a heavy one? Some people just cant trim for one reason or another,Ive hired guys that just cant physically do it at the golf course, even though they were 18 and healthy. Its hard for me to find help that can trim and do it well.If i do i usually can t afford them for long.

The strap is for using when operating the machine????
I always thought it was to keep the unit off the bed of the truck - sort of a space saver thing.
Hmmm, learn something new every day.

I've got a few brand new ones myself (hanging up with the unstained gaurds) and I always thought I would find SOME kind of use for them, sometime, but I never have. The only thing I could think, is that if you were doing some place that you had to carry a trimmer for a long distance or time, like a large apartment complex or something, the some sort of retractable strap with a lock hold it up (like those dog walking leashes with the spool) would perhaps work.
those straps are for yard apes ,keeps them from getting away .lol

I never use them.In my opinion you don't need them for long perioids of trimming as well.I have trimmed 12 hours straight with out a strap.I have found 1 good use for the strap. In the off season I hang the trimmers up in the basment.

Ten years ago I worked at Redstone Arsenal doing lawn maintenance and we had huge trimmers that we use for heavy brush. Everyone used a belt strap to help offset the weight of the trimmers. Basically the strap consisted of a 3" nylon belt with a pad on the right side and a D-ring. The trimmers had a loop to attatch to the belt. Couldn't have done the work w/o the strap.

I thought the proper use was to wear it like a belt which then kept the trimmer at the proper distance from your body to maintain a proper angle at the head for a level cut.
Dang thing wore me out! I Ditched it! Where was Homer and the Lawnsite years ago when I was dragging that dang thing around like a siamese twin!

They could lower the price of the trimmers by the cost of that stupid strap. Only people I ever see using them are the cons that are cutting the ditches.

There made to support the trimmers? I thought they were to whip the employees with when they got tired and slow. You learn something new everyday! Russ
