View Full Version : Echo Trimmer Problem

Hey Yall -
One of my echo trimmers can only be started with full choke and then runs with a little less than full choke. It will run for a minute or so, with the troddle all the way on and then it will surge to full power and die. Any help would be appriciated.

it sounds like you need to get a carb kit and air filter, you have a pretty common problem
We had some problems like that till i fixed them.

Has similar problems with a couple of mine. The solution was to rebuid the carb. Diaphram kits mostly.

I had a similar problem with 2 echo srm-210. Would run as long as the u held the throttle down and messed with the choke. Let off and it would die every time.The Problem was in the top of the carburetor a very small plastic looking washer inside would crack or brake. Replace with a new metal one and they ran like new.Costs less than $2

Fuel filter in the tank need replacing ?
