Once again..........we are backed up. I've got a backyard that needs fescue. Will be a new lawn install. A couple of quick questions........
1. How late in the spring can I successfully sow the seed, providing proper watering and proper install.
2. What variety (straight or blend) would you reccommend for (in order of importance) 1. toughness for dogs and human traffic 2. shade tolerance 3. deep deep green color.

Will be in the piedmont of nc. Weather nowadays, low 50 high 75. Spring showers.

Thanks.

I would sow it now!!! The more you wait the more you will have to water.
I would also use a blend of tall fescue, annual rye, and red fescue. This blend will take of the sunny and shady spots especially for NC.
