Yes if you buy it by the sq. yard you sell it by the sq. yard if you buy it by sq. ft. you sell it by sq. ft. As for price are you going to include your prep? pickup or deliever charges? pallet core charges and the time and fuel to return them if they have that charge. Way to many variable to ask someone else to price a job.

there are no obsticles that may be of some concern, such as trees. Just around the house

My formula is
I call a lot of suppliers. I buy from the cheapest. I let the sod farm deliver the sod.
I buy the sod and install it and make sure I make 2 -3 times profit.
If I cannot make that much I move on.
Do you have any idea the amount of work involved in a sod install?

lol...

I agree...You need to know YOUR costs...Example>>Perhaps you can do this job for 500.00 less than i could and still profit more at the end of the day cuz you own the sod cutter and the dump truck, and dont have staff...Where as i have to rent the cutter, get the soil delivered, and have to pay peoples wages...

If you havent firgured out your overhead, you should certainly do so.

Price should vary depending on if there is any need for prep. Like soil, ferts, or anything like that. Just a quick drop by and install should be cheaper than a prep and install price.
