The factory belts for Choppers are different than after market belts that I can find. The difference is in where the Cords are located. A belt that has to make back bends such as a deck belt and the one that comes from the motor to the deck, need the cords in the center. The after market belts I have gotten didn't last nearly as long as the belts that came on it from the factory, since the cords are on the outside of the belt. This is why I went back to belts from the dealer.
There are some parts I think you are better off in the long run, going with oem. As far as blades go, heavy duty aftermarket seem to work fine. Belts, I use Exmark oem.
