got into it today with an 80 yr old , well to do, lady. she wanted a cleanup, and straight fert for her weed infested disaster lawn that she thinks looks nice. "no chemical on my lawn" she uttered. "no grass either" i said. so, i blow the beds out, and proceed to take my trusty bobcat w/meg mo's off the trailer. she comes flying out, "oh no, you can't put that tremendous thing on my lawn, i won't have it." fine, whatever, for $60 an hour i'll hand pick them all day long if u like. so the cleanup takes 1 hour 15 min. woulda took 20 min if she wasn't such a fool. then i fert. she comes out, "how much." i say, "$127.20 with tax." she goes, "well, how much is it without tax?" i said, "$120." she says, "well, i'll just make out the check to cash." i say, "oh no you won't." she says, "well, your fees are high enough, i don't want to pay tax on top of it." i say, "look, let's lay the cards on the table. you are trying to avoid sales tax, by making the check out to cash.you are suggesting that YOU will evade state tax, while i evade federal tax. the only problem is, i have to sign my NAME on the back of it, and they write down my drivers license # on it too, before i cash it. now write it out, $127.20, so i can get the hell out of here, i don't want nobody i know to see me on this crappy lawn." how many people do you have that try to pull this? are these good people? or criminals? i say they are crooks!

I'm going to just guess that you've never "reduced" the price on a used car you bought when transfering the title..............
Or how about that used lawnmower you sold and someone bought for "cash"..............
I'll bet you never cheated on your federal tax form either with that "charitable" contribution..............
Ever sold anything at a garage sale or yard sale?

People are People no matter where you go.

People in general think the government ought to get out of their shorts and their pockets.
You're no different.

I love it when people ask if there is a cash discount, and I usually say YES and round it down to the nearest even number so instead of $2513.73 I will go to $2500 and be done with it, but I do report it on taxes, unlike alot of other scrubs

I get that sort of thing now and then. Aside from the ''cash" requests, there are always the people who want to barter, and the doctors who want their houses put on their office bills.
