Hi, I am working on a bid and sub out all fert. and herbicide work. In the bid I am working on it calls for only two apps in the budget. Which two apps. would you preform to get the best looking lawn ????

If you can only do two applications, the ones to do are one in September and one in May. Make sure to use at least 40% slow release N. If you apply 1 pound of N in May and 1 to 1.5 lb of N in Sept, the grass should do just fine.

That also assumes your dealing with cool season grasses in a sunny to lightly shaded site. Post more specifics about the site and I will give you more info.
