Can anyone advise me on the best Hedge Trimmers to buy. I don't have much call for it,so a cheap one might be good enough.

I use the Tanaka 2 sided 21 series. I love them because their light and strong. I tried using the Stihls but I guess I'm a little too weak for them bad boys! Killed my back!!!!!!!!!!!1<p>Homer

It depends what kind of hedges your gonna cutting. I have a echo 1500 gas trimmer and a little wonder 30" electric trimmer. The gas one i use for thicker cuts and small trimmings. The electric one i use for big trimmings since its lighter and less noisy. Later

I have used both Echo and Tanaka. I think the bigger Echo's are better than tanaka's big ones, BUT tanaka has the better smaller ones. I like the new swivel handle on the tanakas. They make short work of bushes and blackberry bushes.
