Uhm..

I'm beginning to understand several things why people do the things they do..

1) Why business have 2 separate cell phones...
a) one for business
b) one for personal

If you mix both a and b, you will have non-stop phone calls.

You try to make everyone happy, BUT YOU CAN'T! I always thought you could try to make everyone happy, but that is IMPOSSIBLE! ;) ;)

I guess when you start to have 100+ customers, you will eventually have customers call and complain about something..

I think its time to hire a customer complaint personnel..

I learned long ago that two separate phone lines is the only way to go. I actually have a fairly small business but have 6 different phone numbers (fax, business, home, cell phones). I also try to encourage clients to communicate via email as this is seems to be very convenient for customers and myself plus I have a permanent record of the discussion.

You absolutely have to keep your personal life and business life separate otherwise customers will (usually unintentionally) drive you crazy.

We use our cell # as our businees #. Nextel is our provider and we get free incoming minutes. I had 1 customer continually call my home #. I never answered it nor did I return any calls.

Yah, I can understand why people have separate lines for business and personal now..

And it's how you handle the complaint when they complain!

Business line with an answering service. Well worth the $50 per month and we don't miss any calls.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I never give my cell # to clients. I only use the cell to talk to my employees, call suppliers, etc, and personal calls. I check my answering machine during the day, and then again at night. I make all customer calls from the business line, so they can't pick up the cell # on caller ID. My phone rings enough as it is, I can't imagine handling customer calls, too.
