I know that gasoline is at all time highs, maybe justifiably, maybe not. Much of the oil market has a lot of speculation built in and americans are tightening up. Just like to know who thinks gasoline will be cheaper in June than it is right now.

gas rose again from 2.28 yesterday to 2.36 for 87reg. It's crazy. Less than a couple of weeks ago it was at about 2.13.

They said on the local news today that the prices of fuel had peaked and they expected the prices to fall very slowly in the coming months. The national average is at $2.29 a gallon for regular.

My prediction from earlier this year was off by 9 cents.

Richard, you know good and well that petroleum futures always peak in anticipation of summer driving season and that purchases made between February and now are for just those supplies.

I guess we should be grateful you aren't trying to get us to bet you good money on this.

I sure hope it will get cheaper, but right now in Northern N.J., the price of gas is just getting higher and higher.

Pasid $2.06 today for Regular....I hope it goes down though....5 or 6 cents isnt going to cut it, it needs to go down by $.10 to $.25 to make a difference.

In December of 1991, I graduated from FSU, located in Tallahassee, FL, and moved to Atlanta, a distance of what, 300 miles? Difference in the price of a gallon of gas? About 20 cents.

Why? Click on the link below. If you're near one of those spurs (or something similar in another part of the country), gas is cheap. If you're not, gas is expensive.

We add a fuel fee to each monthly statement. It is not a lot for each customer, but collectively it adds up. Here is a link that has been helpful to me.

The most I have paid so far this season is $2.129 a gallon. When I turned 16 a little over 5 years ago I paid $1.089 per gallon for my first fill up. The least amount I have ever paid is $0.999 per gallon. If I don't have to pay more than $2.359 per gallon this season, i will consider myself lucky.

I paid $2.19 here in PA today. I would love to think that is the peak, but I really doubt it.

Gas is not that expensive! Yes it seems like it but how much does a gallon of milk cost?, or a gallon of water? Gas is a finite natural resorce. In europe it is $4.00- 6.00 per gallon.

Paid a $1.97 per gallon today here in OKC. We must be lucky. It had been as high as $2.20 about 10 days ago but for some reason has slowly declined since then.

Gas was up to $2.44 here two weeks ago. It has been jumpin up and down almost every other day between 10-20 cents, but slowly falling. Today its at $2.00!! There is a very good chance it will go under 2 bucks before it rises again!!

Supposedly alot of the crude was going into #2 fuel oil and that with the winter there was a demand for that. Maybe with spring coming now they want have that exscuse and prices could ease a little. The next chapter in the soap opera of gas prices will be the increased demand with holiday travel now that winter is over and people want to get out and vacation

Suppose I should have taken the wager, but I don't gamble. However we all win if we can see it keep dropping.

Where? It hasn't been under 2 bucks for a long time. They always jack it way up and then drop it some. Not to where it was but a little higher. We are all happy then cause we aren't paying 40-60 cents per gallon then but they are happy because they are getting 10-30 cents more than a year ago.

Its not easy bein in the service industry, but what the hay thats how we make our income. Our gas is $2.29 avg. per gal. I know its up at least 35 cents from last year?....Anybody think we can add a gas surcharge to our yearly contracts?....Think I'm gonna try it for new customers and for next year, maybe $5,bucks see how that flys?...any thoughts?..........

Gas is not that expensive! Yes it seems like it but how much does a gallon of milk cost?, or a gallon of water? Gas is a finite natural resorce. In europe it is $4.00- 6.00 per gallon. We use at least 4 times the fuel all of Europe uses though. They have a massive public transit system also which saves fuel, not to mention, they don't drive as far to work, etc. In summary, buying in bulk saves money. That is why the US is and SHOULD be charged less.

Heard a report this morning that the national avg 2.23 per gal and that gas should fall another .25 over the summer. It is already 2.06-08 in KY so it looks like we will get that under 2.00 soon. I guess the peak may have already taken place because of speculation on oil and gas futures (and a Goldman Sachs pump), barring any other catastrophies. This means we all win since most of us raised our prices this year.

I think we will see it back under 2.00 within two months.

That would be nice, but I am guessing prices will stay right where they're at. With summer, comes demand for travel. Like family vacations and what not. Nope, I am guessing it will stay in the low $2.00 range all summer. I saw it for $2.15 per gallon this morning. Been staying there for about a month now.
If it does go higher, I am set with a built in clause in my contracts that raises the price per cut if gas exceeds a set price per gallon.
Ya gotta plan ahead. :)
