Just curious if any of you guys have built walls like this. Do you use the same base materials, backfill, and geo textile? I'm thinking of doing one of these and haven't had any experience with one as of yet.

I keep them to below 3', but they are typically 18-24" wide, utilizing the mass of the stone for support. I backfill with clean 1 1/4 (57's)

Usually a 8-12" deep footer with the 57's at the base. Lay the first courses and keep on going.

Yes it does and see the holes in the bottom of the wall to provide good drainage and the guy digging in a place to put a drain line on the downspout?Ya gotta think drainage all the time.I think that's great cuz alot of landscapers and hardscapers around here ignore drainage issues and I gotta deal with it after the damage is done.
