I live in a neighborhood that has a HOA. I would like to bid on the property, but have never bid on a HOA before. I have know idea how to determine the amount of the bid. I can measure the property, determine the amount of annuals, and pine straw needed per year. But how do I come up with a total figure. I am a solo with 7 residential contract and growing, just purchased a 36 inch Exmark. I feel I have the equipment to do the job and would be able to expand if I had this one HOA Contract. I welcome all comments, pos. and neg. Thanks.

Since most if not all of these organizations run on yearly contracts, some multi-year if they can get a better price, I suggest the following to arrive at a bid price.
Determine the following-
The amount for each cut x the number of cuts for the season = mowing price.
# of fert & squirt apps for the year x price for each app = Weed & feed price.
# of times landscape work will be performed x price for each = landscape price.
Total all prices any get the grand total, then divide by 12 and you will arrive at a monthly maintenance price. That is the basics as I see them at coming up with a total. Hope it helps and good luck with the bid.
