Wow we can't win in NWPA. We had a late winter storm that dumped over a foot of snow the first week of April and melted 2 days later. Now, got all of the equipment ready to go and no rain, the grass has barley begun to grow. Just can't win. I hope this isn't a sign from above,LOL. Thank God spring clean ups are picking up! Even treated lawns are just starting to grow. Next week for sure though. I think evetbody is going to be a bi-weekly account at this rate.

Take it while you can remeber last year?. all it did was rain for the whole month of April and into may. I remeber reading the posts of all the people crying that it was rainning too much. Get all the odd jobs done while it's dry and get ahead of the game for once (if that's ever possible).

We finally got some rain here in Mid-Michigan overnight and this morning. Not a ton of rain but a start I guess. I would say .25" maybe. I layed down some seed last night on some bare spots on my yard that did not come back from last September when I reseeded basically my entire front yard after having 2 trees removed. I bet about 35% did not come back. Hopefully we get some more rain, they are talking about Sunday-Tuesday with rain but I guess we will wait and see. Hopefully no rain like last year, once it started it did not stop all of April and a good portion of May.

We may be "red flagged" soon for fire danger due to dry conditions. We've had half a dozen brush fires the last few days. We are supposed to have thunderstorms tonight, but they are not sure how much rain it will bring. Beautiful weather for working, though!

Most of the entire Lower Peninsula of Michigan has been under a fire warning for a couple weeks now. Last night and this morning was the 2nd rain we have had all of April and first in like 17 days or something odd like that. I bet we have had less than half an inch of rain all month.

It is probably poetic justice from all the rain we got last year. I bet this year turns out to be real steamy and hardly any rain. Law of averages I guess.
