Forsythis hedge

I w3ant to make a solid forsythia hedge. How far apart should i plant to forsythia to achieve this?

4'to 5' is my opinion,but some might say 2' to 3'.

For a thick hedge 2 -3' apart. These are a PITA to work with at times. Are you going for color or just privacy?

A little of both. I put them in at 3' thanks for the replies.
