new lawn

I have a customer that had a gas line installed on his property and they ripped up his lawn pretty good now he wants a new lawn put down. I am going to rake out all the rocks and get it level but is there any good lawn starter ideas? like what fert? what seed? etc...

what i would do is rake out the rocks,grade it and if needed add topsoil. put down the seed add starter fer and cover with straw.not hay. water everyday. 2 times a day. in morn and then in evening. not in the heat of the day. What part of NY are you in. If the area is shaded use a shade mix.
