We have an older Gehl skid steer with an Isuzu QT 23 engine; anyone have experience trouble shooting one of these?

Cranks and cranks with no signs of firing. Even tried a litlle starting fluid. The plugs are heating and all check out ok. No blown fuses etc. Its getting fuel. Any other simple things I might check before loading it up and hauling it to the dealer?? Any help appreciated

You said it's getting fuel. How do you know that for sure, did you crack the lines at the injectors? Just wondering, sometimes people think that because there may be fuel in a line somewhere that it's getting to the cylinders. I'm concerned about the fact it didn't burp with the ether....BE CAREFUL using that with glow plugs!!!!!!!

I would guess it would be the injectors. I replaced them in an Izuzu 3 cylinder in an excavator. Mine started running poorly, missing, then wouldn't start. I would be willing to bet that is whats up. If you have troubleshooted the fuel filter, air in the lines etc.

Ksss- you were right. It was indeed the injectors. Thanks for the tip!!!
