Hey Guys,
Been lurking in the background and reading posts for a long time.
I have a customer who wants me to raise an existing 400ft2 concrete patio about 6' and then cover it with modular pavers. I will be building a brick/block wall around 3 sides with the 4th side being against the house. I am thinking that I will use braced composite decking and pour a concrete slab and then mortar my pavers down.
Has anyone here tried pouring an elevated concrete slab using CFD or composite decking? I realize that most guys backfill the cavity but this would require an immense amount of dirt as well use up some storage space the customer would like to have.
I am just a little bit leary of this project as I have never used the composite decking before.
I will try to post pictures of the existing patio tomorrow!
TIA
Tim
