that last pic looks like the standard cut on a twin blade craftsman riding mower! they always have one blade lower then the other due to the deck design and the fact they are made so cheaply they are always out of level.
Those are some interesting stripes tho... the cut strips don't even look to be 21" wide, i wonder if they just used a string trimmer to make those?

Just to clarify... I didnt do those lawns.. just found the pics online... and i agree, they look like crap, are a waste of time :)

That seems like an awful lot of work... Why? I just can't imagine being that bored...
When I was a kid I used to leave a smiley face in the middle of the yard (leaving it uncut). My Mom thought it was cute the first time, not so much the 3rd and 4th.

Maybe that trend will catch on. LOL You'll be able to skip spots in the yard. Less time = More Money! I think I'll keep my lawn looking the more traditional way.
