Cards, flyers and simple question

This may sound like a ****** question but what methods are used to "hang" flyers. roll 'em up and stuff somewhere or...?
I live out in the boonies and I don't get many...

Also what about using business cards opposed to full or half sheet flyers. Other than visibility I don't see the downside since they are so easy to make and handle.

I bring some fliers and some doorhangers. Both are fairly heavy card stock and both are about 4.25" x 11". I hang the hangers on doorknobs and tuck the bottom corner in between the door and the frame, to help keep them from blowing off. If the door has one of those thumb-latches instead of a knob, I take a flier and either stick it into the space between the door and the frame, or I tuck a corner under a flower pot or something similar, if there is something like that on a table.

Of course, the first thing I do is ring the doorbell and try to meet the homeowner and give them a flier.
