No load on engine.

That or a clutch you might get lucky and replace the spring.

Boy do you know how to give info. The other Guys done hit that nail on the head, Of course start with the gear head which is the easiest to remove and work your way up to the clutch.

hey guys. thanks for your help.

I decided to take it in to the local john deere place and they said that they couldnt find the warrenty on the shaft????

I am 18 so could they be ripping me off by saying that?

they said the gear would be about 37.00 and something else would cost 10.00 and then labor is 40.00

What do you guys think I should do

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks!

Go back to the link you posted and click on (find dealer) there may be another dealer near by in which you can get a second opinon, about shaft warranty or click on contact us on that link they should be able to give you that info.
If it isn't and you can't do the repair your self, Just pay them to fix it and be done with it.
