We will recieve a New Gehl CTL70 Track Loader in early June, what can you guys tell me about working on slopes?. What angles can these units handle safely? Any negative experience on the Gehl / Takeuchi units? Thanks a hole lot!

I went to the Gehl website and they have a "Track Usage Guide" on there. It said to avoid operating across a slope, and operate up and down whenever possible. I heard from the Takeuchi dealer in Oregon that they have to overtighten the tracks in order to work on hill sides. This was because the grease cylinder that holds the tracks tight tends to gradually collapse.

StoneStacker,
Thanks for this information, do you have any info. on the actual slopes those machines can go up? I read somewhere that a 45 degree slope can be done?
Let me know your opinion, Thanks again
