Curious, guy at dixie booth, trying to sell me a set of double brackets. $50 for three. My question do I need them. Want to try em on my 721D 60" Grasshopper, and on my New M665's. The brackets looked to simple to pay $50 for. Plus they were cast aluminum. I didn't know low long they'd last, seems to me they would be brittle?! Thanks Joe
I'm sure Eric will answer this after me. And his answer will be no, you don't need them.
No brackets on mine. Some machines have a blade
bushing the thickness of the blade that keeps
blade set in place. For these you need another
bushing.I cant see why they didnt just make it fit
spindle but I guess there must be a reason.

Bob was right, NO, you don't need brackets. I ran them 13 years without and 4 months with on one of them. I probably won't even use them this season.
BTW, my brackets are steel.
