So How does every one sharpen there hedge trimmers and how often?<br> I have an echo single blade that i take to get sharpen. <p>----------<br>Tony<br>

I sharpen mine with a flat file and lots of patience. Takes about a half hour. Wear gloves.<p>Bill

I use a Dremel to sharpen my hedge trimmers. Works pretty well.<br>

my echo-1500 needs sharpening. got my leg caught in the #$mn thing again last friday! I'm healing nicely, bandaids off, wife refuses to patch BDU's again!<p>GEO

Just had an thought. I wonder if the chainsaw chaps would work on stoping a hedge trimmer?

Stihl market a pair of trousers designed for<br>use with chainsaws,ect.They have some sort of kevlar fibre in it to jam up the chain<br>in an accident.<p>Karl<br>
