For every new Exmark mower that I buy my dealer gives me a free shirt. Somehow I think your way is cheaper!

I bought a bunch of hats last year. Quite reasonable prices. I was under the impression the t shirts were for dealers only. Does it just come with a blank back where the dealer logo is to go?

keith,
i thought the same thing you did. i wrote them an email and asked them. they told me i could have a dealer name on the back or not. mine came instead with a big exmark logo in place of the dealer name.

You emailed the Vernon Company? Do you have that contact info? Then I guess you could just get the Lazer on the back and maybe a little Exmark logo on the front too then. I like stuff on the back of my shirts :)

I will be honest with all you guys, I wouldnt wear a shirt by a lawnmower company unless I got it for free. Why advertise for them and give them money.

I bought two Exmark hats for $9300. and they gave me a Lazer free! :) Here's an idea, why not just copy the Exmark emblem off of a brochure or something and onto that iron on material for copiers. Then, you can just make your own T shirts and stuff. I have a girlfriend who is scanning one into a computer aided embroidering machine so I can have the sleeves of my company shirts done. This will be the same type of embroidering that is on the hats, but a little smaller. She can also have it make them bigger if desired. She does great work, and everyone always asks where I get my shirts done at. She does school jackets and sports uniforms, and and does those cool jackets for the fire departments with a picture of the engine co. embroidered on back. The prices are real reasonable, and I can hardly believe how cheap I get quality clothing for from the catalogs she goes through. I thought seriously about running off a Lawnsite emblem.

Runner,
Don't you have to be careful of a copyright and or trademark violation when you transfer an image like that. I know alot of people do reproduce many forms of images, but usually for personal use. I would be concerned using it in a business application. I beleive the company could have recourse back on you, if they choose to pursue it.
But, I'm not sure either. Just thought I would ask.
It would also be very handy to have a girlfriend who has an embroidery machine. This is something that I am checking into now. Getting some nice company clothing made up. {maybe we could all send you our garment needs and bury your girlfriend in work, if you can get us some good deals ;) }

Can your girlfriend do clothes and stuff in my size? I'm an ametuer bodybuilder and I need XXXL stuff.

your promoting their product. as long as your not using their logo to sell a product that affects them, then there really isnt a problem.

I'd like to think that Exmark wouldn't get upset by this. I'm not selling the emblems or anything. Although, if Exmark were smart (smarter than they already are, I mean) they would just make patches available for sale. It would get their product name out there more, AND the patches themselves would sell. As far as doing XXXL sizes, she can do ALL sizes. She did a friend of mine's (who is a big guy) Carhardt Coat with some really cool stuff on back. You can use your own stuff, or stuff can be ordered for real reasonable prices. I would like to clarify, that this isn't my friends machine, personally. It's where she works, she's the operator and it's about a $30,000 outfit from what I understand.

Runner, mdb,
I agree that it shouldn't be a big deal, but everyone likes to get their ounce of flesh sometimes. It was just a thought.
Maybe we could turn our profession into a Race Driver/ Bass Master set-up, and walk around with sponsers all over our work clothes. Be a pretty sweet agreement. Can you imagine selling space not only on yourself, but also on the equipment to the sponser's. Aside the big Exmark logo have the Mobil logos, Coolant mfg's, belt mfg's, blade mfg's, trimmer's, blower's, edger's, sunblock, safety equipment.........
Cool to think about.
We would like to thank the everyone for their help on this account, the Exmark-Mobil-Prestone-Goodyear-Gator/Hilift-Stihl-Echo-Coppertone-Safety 1st outfit really did it's job today. Running real good on the flats, had a little push on the slope, but we were able to work her out and bring it on home. :D

That's funny you said that, because I made a joking post reply on here once regarding sponsorship emblems when I stated I was going to put Lawnsite's emblem on my trailer with all the rest. (I didn't really have any!):)

I have had the same thought. I really wanted to promote the site and have been thinking about incorporating it somehow in my materials.(if Chuck doesn't have a problem with that) I believe someone else brought up the LS thing, it may have been you Runner, I'm not sure.
Seriously though, LS is as good as any other org/assoc/ affiliation that I have seen, probably better. I think that we should give it the proper exposure it deserves.
Granted most customer's may not know what it means when they see it, but we sure do. ;)

Well, just consider this, Scott; We want proper exposure, not over exposure. This was something that someone else had brought up and I completely agree with. That is, we don't want all the public to be "tuning in" to our forum. Next rthing you know, we have our own customers saying, "Well, if you can save time by doing it this way now, why don't we save money?" Anyway, that's just an example, and I think you get the picture. Talk about alot of LURKERS! This is one downfall to the "publicity" scheme. I would like to have an emblem for shows and such though. I think it would help us identify each other in a comradery sort of way.

That's true. Get the show dud's together and wear the colors with pride.
