What's the best way to find out if a LCO name is already taken?

Maybe on your state gov't.website. I was surfing one time looking to see if my compititon was licensed. I found duplicate names working in different parts of the state (solos). So if it is not in the same county use any name you want as long as it doesn't belong to a national co.
