Here is our toy that we use to dethatch. It makes darn good money, with no physical labor.

That's pretty cool. What is that, exactly? Did you make that? Are those tines like nails, or are they spring loaded?

The teeth are from a JD farm rake and they are springs. Most everything we built.

That thing doesn't look like it would miss too much. So those are those heavier rake tines like you can get at the Tractor Supply? Those things are a bit blunt, but they sure would work well.
