Well, it claims to be a 2001 with 1,500 hrs for homeowner use. Given 30 cuts a year over 4 years and 1,500 total hours, each cut was about 12.5 hours.

What do you think?

does exmark not put hr meters on their Lazer Z? or are ya possibly sayin this guy rolled the hrs back?

who cares how long it took him each week to cut his yard, if ur happy w/the price ur payin for a ztr w/so many hrs, and its not rolled back... then IMO i say its fine....

maybe he does indeed have an LCO that he used this mower for, but its got the hrs it does and thats that...

not a chance, unless it was left outside between mowing and during winter. It looks a lil rough for being a homeowner's. I bet it has WAY more then 1500 hours.

The thing is nothing but a pile 1500 hours bs it has 4500 hrs on it plus it needs new spindle bearings and the wheel motor is acting up. What a money pit!!!!!

South Florida Lawns, u bought it? was site unseen?

if u did indeed bought the mower, and it had 4,500 hrs.... u technically can refuse this mower, b/c the add said 1,500 hrs and didn't mention spindle bearings and the wheel motor is acting up...

i think there's not much u can do about the spindle bearings and the wheel motor is acting up, b/c most used things u buy are represented "as is" purchases... but the hrs is 1 thing i'de argue about, b/c it was falsified, and was misleading...

good luck

Since the mower listed is about 10 minutes away from my house, and seeing as the auction hasn't even ended yet, I'll guess you were being sarcastic, although I don't get it.

Anyway, I doubt it was "homeowner used" with that number of hours and seeing as there's another commercial mower in the backround of one of the pics.
And if he's not telling the truth about how it was used, then he may not be telling the truth about the hours either.

This is a homeowner machine. It is a homeowner that used it to cut all his commercials and residentials. I am a homeowner, too, so I know what it's like.

I love how a homeowner needs a commercial ZTR and that commercial walk behind.

HAHA, that is a good one, that's a nice homeowner repaint job on that exmark there too. I love how it's cabled to the pole out by the road... I wonder if the person that took the photos actually owns it???!!! With ebay, there are a million and one ways to scam people...

I'll be "retiring" to 2-1/2 acres in North Carolina in 2008. I'm keeping the Dixie and at least 1 walkbehind. At that point I'll be a homeowner zipping around my yard on a 15 mph commercial mower while my neighbors look on in envy.

I don't know about all that now...

But...

If you want I'll let you drive the 250 miles to Greenville and bush hog it monthly for 50 bucks until I move there. That would actually be a 15 dollar raise over what the current guy is charging me.

Saw a walkbehind on eBay as well. Pics show it on a trailer with trimmer traps ect. Stated never used commercially... must have only been doing residentials...lol

No I dont know any one that has $10,000 in equipment to mow one lawn OR any one that can put 1500 on a ZTR in 4 years and still need a walk behind after (talking just one lawn) IF i only cut my lawn i would use a cheap 21'er. Because if i used something bigger it would be cheaper to have someone mow it for me.

If my biggest account would buy his own top of the line Dixie Chopper 60" mower he could cut it in about 3 to 3-1/2 hours. He would also be able to save enough money by not paying me to pay for the mower in under 2 years. Over the 4,000 hour life of a Dixie Chopper deluxe model he would have saved $233,320. less the cost of the mower, fuel and maintenance.

Also one of my neighbors with way under 10,000 sq ft of lawn puts over 3 hours a week on his 21" Honda. Some people just spend a lot of time on their lawns.
