can someone id this tree (bush) for me It has dark maroon leaves and light purlpe flowers now. If you cut a branch of it, it has redish wood.

I believe it is called a flowering plum. I had one in Michigan and it looked like the one in the photo.

thankyou very much. I mow a few props that have them and they are very attractive right now. I want to buy one now. I can get a 4-5 foot one at my whole saler for 32.20 B&B

thats a good deal if its the cherry, btw how much would u charge to put it in the ground. just curious.

They are a beautiful tree. They grow to 12-15 ft. and keep a nice round shape and need very little maintenance.

Also called Purple leaved Plum,it's an ornamental Plum of some type.

i would install it for my hr rate. 45 bucks per hr. And charge around 64 bucks for the plant. prob $110.00

Irregardless of the species it is in the broad class of trimaround. Nothin like screwin up a great stripe with a curve around a trimaround. :waving:

They are really pretty this time of year.
