I have been using a hydrolized fish product for my N source for several years. I've been researching other souces that mix the fish with chilean nitrate, or nitrate of soda and still maintaining an OMRI label. The added nitrate has an analysis of 17-0-0. I would like to know If any of you kind folks have had expierence with chilean nitrate? I received a sample today and it is 100% soluble looks like good stuff but 20% sodium. :help:

Its as "Hot as Hell", great burn potential, know a guy who schorched his golf course as he thought he could use it like stright urea?...........Personally I like it , and use it in my fish and or seaweed apps as well, or with epsom salts. :)

Howdy, I dont have a direct supplyer, as my 50lb bag has lasted several yrs.It can be obtained readily by most "Greenhouse Suppliers", since it mixes so well with little agitation.[ works well in there injector systems] :)

PS...........Try mixing 1 lb nitrate + 1 lb epsomsalts + 1 gal. liq. fish per 100 gal. H2o, scale this down for a back-pk tank to test. on your lawn / landscape[ not on your best clients property]....there are several factors to consider?....my area has "Soft" water, [ very clorinated] often a ph buffer is needed for hard or country water........air temps as well as humidity should also be considered............Good -Luck, Regards Saxon :waving:
