I was curious if anybody has the GX series 24 hp Honda V-twin? I see Northern has one for around $1100. My '99 Lazer Z has a 18 hp Kohler on it. I am happy with it but would like more power. I currently run double blades and am thinking about adding Exmark's new bagger. Thinking 18 hp might be a bit underpowered with doubles and the bagger.
The Lazer has under 100 hours now, so the Kohler is hardly broke in yet. Also would be nice to have the Honda if I decide to move up to a bigger deck in the future.
I would have bought a Lazer with a bigger motor, but I got such a good deal on the one I have. I paid $5,800 for it, if I add the Honda engine, I'm still under $8,000 for a basically new full size Lazer.
