stihl weedeater on switch malfunction

I need a little help, please. I own to stihl weedeaters model FS 55 and the on/off switch will not turn them off. I have to lower the choke to turn them off. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I'd really appreciate the advice.

switch shorting out, try a new one. if the new one doesn't work then follow the wires back to the coil and make sure there are no strips or breaks in it.
