Good deal, got one, love it.

Controls are a little quick but can't beat the ride and the Ferris rep.

You might want a Tiny Tach. Got to have a tach on a performance machine.

Cuts and stripes great.

Am considering the IS1500. Need input concerning slope holding. I need to mow (traverse, not up/down) a 20degree slope. Will the Ferris IS1500 hold the hill, or I'm I asking for more excitement than I need?

20 degree slope? You better have a change of drawers handy...LOL

Rookie, that price seems pretty good to me. The best I can get here in Rockford is $5,400 followed by 5500. Who is that price from, as I'm not too far from there? How was the cut quality?

LOL... That is right about the drawers! I don't think any lawn-mower manufacturer recommends a sloop greater then 16 degrees. Correct me if I'm wrong. Rookie how was the cut on the unit you tried and what size cut was it?
