Used Grasshopper

I came across a used 95 model 921D Grasshopper 785 hours w/ grass catcher. I know the people who own this machine and it should have been taken care of and in a shed most of its life. I priced a new one yesterday $9500 w/o the catcher. What is this machine worth?

Is this a 721D or a 928D? I don't think grasshopper ever made a 921D. A 95 721D should be worth around $5K in good shape, and add about a grand for a comparable 928D. Thanks,Lynn

A 721D for $9500 is also a good price. My friend just bought a 1996 725 (gas and bagger and 61")with 1600 hours. At first the fellow was asking $5000. Eventually the price was negotiated down to $3500.
