devils grass and new sod.

I have a yard that has been prepped for new sod.
The sod is going in soon but this darn (what i call devil grass) keeps coming up. it will eventually take over the new sod, Is there anything that i can put down before the sod is laid to help kill or restrict the devils grass from coming up and taking over?

Is this devils grass your talking about Zoysia grass?? If so good luck. You need to excavate yard 2' to get rid of zoysia grass, haul in topsoil and prep for sod. Round up will do no good to this superman of grasses.LOL :realmad:
