Tilled and ready for sod question

Ok I have a yard which I have tilled a few weeks ago. The customer asked if he should buy some weed killer to kill the fresh crop that has sprung up or should I retill now that he has the money to lay the sod? I thought retilling was the way to go as to not put a chemical of such into the soil.

What would you guys do?

Roundup, then sod in a couple of days.

If you tilled weeks ago, go with round-up, wait a week, re-till and sod. Make sure you charge him for the round-up and re-till due to his procrastination/lack of funds.

my underestanding is that round up breaks down ON CONTACT with dirt. That is why you shouldn't use well water to mix round up.

I have sprayed then sodded a day later with no problems at all.

If you only have little scraggly weeds then you could just throw over them.

I wouldn't re till unless you are getting repaid.
