2 year warranty

I bought my 37" walk-behind on June 6 2003 under the impression that it had a 2 year warranty bumper to bumper, it currently has 500 hrs on it.

The motor started to spit and sputter blowing out black smoke and losing power as if the choke was on, so I took it to the local hustler dealer and they tell me that it needs a new carb, I asked if this was covered under the warranty, they said no, it is considered normal wear and tear.

So, could you please explain the 2 year warranty for the 37" walk-behind.

The Hustler warranty is a 2 year limited warranty.
The engine is per the mfg's warranty, and on your unit it would be a Kawasaki warranty, thus it is handles through Kawasaki and Kawasaki dealers.
Most Hustler dealers are also Kawasaki dealers also.
Have your dealer contact his Kawasaki representative and dispute it.
