View Full Version : Who out in the Ohio area needs rain?
Been dry here in Columbus for over 10 days now. Lawns are starting to turn the brown color. We have not seen that here in over 3 years.

I fell ya JP! The south Dayton area is really dry also. May get an early vacation next week if we don't get some rain.

I don't think I have seen grass this brown in over 3 years. We have had a couple of good years. This year might not be one of them.
On an off topic question have been to a Dragon's game? Are tickets still hard to come by?

I know exactly what u r talkin about JP. I didn't have to double cut any part of any yard this week. We got a thunderstorm th eother night w/ some rain, but not much. There is like a 30% chance of rain everyday this week and i hope we get some. I havn't had to skip a week in the last 2 years.

I wishwe had a bit of the problem you guys have. We are starting ti have some nice weather now but we had rain for 30 days straight. I am not exaggerating. It rained every day for 30 days and this was heavy rains. We have never seen anything like this ever.
This sucks. We are so far behind.

Here in Upstate NY, May was the dryest month on record! Last year was the wettest. So needless to say the rain is needed.

The lawns without irrigation systems are starting to brown up in Cleveland.

I know what your saying. Rained here in southern Ohio last week but its been 80    degrees since monday so its not growing much its not brown though, yet
I am going to guess that we got between a tenth and a quarter of an inch of rain here in the last hour. The same county where I live had flood warnings for over 2 inches of rain the southern part. 10 -15 miles difference and I couldhave had 2 inches of rain. Oh well that is the way summer showers go.

Yep, it's getting pretty dry around here. We got rain two nights ago but it rained for 3 minutes and then quit.
