Its the grass.... anyone can get a good stripe in none weeded yards. I bought a striper kit and untill I mowed nice weed free yards, I didnt notice a damn bit of difference?

Nice stripes, but how come you didn't edge the curbing? A real nice crisp cut edge on that curbing would have added even more to it.

The curb was edged last week and it has been in the upper 80's for the last week

crab grass has been germinating and this property was loaded it with it last year

no irragation on that part of the lawn. the lco's from years past ripped alot of soil off of the edge .

your right it is the grass . and that is what you should be cutting grass not weeds sell your customers weed control .Mow at 4-4.5 inches when it gets hot and you'll notice a difference.

Raise the bar talk to your customers that have crappy lawns. get weed control or drop them when you can pick up another weed free lawn with a customer that has payup stacks

Out Till Dark,
those are some awesome properties you have! I really like the pic that titled mirror image. I see right now that I'm going to have to start targeting some filthy rich people instead of the middle income'ers. :D

man that looks incredible. I have never seen stripes like that. Like DSIM, the mirror image looked cool. I want some properties that can be decently striped!! Looks Awsome!

When you mow that tall how do you not have uncut grass? We are mowing at 3.25 right now and the front wheels push the grass down and it doesnt get pulled back up by the blades.

thanks
Ty

I would say, try a medium lift blade if mulching.

From mid June till mid August I mow most full sun lawns at 3.75 4.00 with solid foil blades. If i use notched hi-lifts I get missed grass between the blades. the solid foil blades are a must for tall cutting heights especially when the grass is not lush and thick.

see if this helps... i noticed on my hustler stripes get more noticeable when you make the cuts wide with little overlap
