Great Deere?

Has anyone heard about John Deere buying out Great Dane? I heard that rumor flying around, and woundering if it was true. I hope its not because I own 3 of there 60inchers with the awesome high lift decks. Thats the main reason I went away from Deere, they didn't give me the nice crisp lines like the Dane does.

Yes it is true.
John Deere has bought great Dane.
Not sure when it happened but I heard it at my exmark dealer last week.
Now the Great Dane Scag will try to improve John Deere mowers & he is now employed by Deere.

Yes, alas tis true.
It all happened on or about 18 December.
I too hate to pay for green paint. BUT My dealer "told me he heard" That GD was going to be a different entity of deere. So youll see green danes and Yellow danes.
Deere has done that for years.
If I heard right they also own a part of vermeer, I do know for sure their "V" hay rake is exactly the same.
