I have read about CGM and am interested in it for lawn application, but I was wondering if it would work well as a pre-emergent in the garden prior to laying mulch? How effective would it be vs. preen. Are there any side effects on various plants root systems, and would I need to balance the Ph or amend with proper nutrients?

Thank you
Keith

Contact the Prof Christiansen at Iowa State. He is always a great source for me on CGM.
I am currently using it on my lawn with good results, but I have only used it on two applications. The jury is still out with me.

Cost is somewhat a factor. The price of being organic.

I tried to look him up at the Iowa State site, but could not find him, could you have him contact me per chance?

Thank you,
