Selling customers to other lawn maintenance companies

We are in the process of selling off our customers for various reasons. What is a fair price to ask for a customer?

Are these mowing customers, fertilization program, landscape maintenance, landscape installation, a combination of all? How long have they been customers? Do you service them yourself or do you have employees do all of the work? Are these profitable accounts? Are they all within a reasonable geographical area? etc. etc.

Depending upon the answers to these questions a fair price could be any where from nothing up to 1.5 times the annual gross income these properties generate.

We will need more details in order to give you an intelligent guess. But then depending upon where you live, the price can fluctuate from region to region.
