View Full Version : Tearing out azaleas
I have an area that is about 6 foot by 15 foot full of these, I want to take them out and replace with sod, what is the best way to get them up??
I have access to a Bobcat that a friend of mine has, thinking of hooking a cable to them and pulling them out. Is there a better way anyone can think of??

We will use the pallet forks on our skid steer to rip them out. They aren't real deep rooted and usually come out easily. As long as you have access to the Bobcat, use it.

I wouldnt want to use a cable to do that. A large chain should do the job, that is how I used to do it, the rootballs arent large or deep so you should be fine. Rhodidendrums are a pain since they have such large rootballs.

Why in the world would you want to do that?Replace expensive mature Rhodies with cheap sod?
