In northern IN we expect arrival of gypsy moth within a couple of years. Indiana has had a good trapping & reactive program for 35 years, but 4 or 5 NE counties are now infested.
My main concern is that our area is oak/hickory forest. Many developments have been carved out of wooded areas over last 50 yrs. I have 3 oaks over my house, and have clients with 10-15 oaks on their properties.
State will be introducing bt controls, but how can one best protect his oak trees if surrounding property owners are not attentive to problem? Anyone who has been thru this recently have insight? Thanks.

----------
Jim
North central Indiana
