everyone should be doing lights...we do...and we make a lot of $$$ doing them.

our company has just completed a 32 light system, 2 transformers for a client who just spent $70k on the landscape install.

we have about 20 systems installed so far this season.

noel,

i have not visited you or contacted you because i have been busy and am extremely happy with 'vista' products.

all 'vista' lights come with weather proof wire connections and all 'vista' pathway lights come with ground spikes. this makes for a 'dummy' proof installation.

the tech only needs a shovel and wire splicers!!!

transformers are simple to wire and even simpler to set with remote photo cell.

turn the dial and 'away we go!!!'

i know you might have a better product...when things slow down we will reconsider.

i hope your new business is doing well. it is amazing that you have started this business and i wish you nothing but the best.

I am available for you anytime. The transformers I sell are made by the same factory that makes vista products. We have some new products arriving that never were here before. Soon Central will carry our stuff. Thanks for your kind words and hope to meet you in person in the near future. Best to you.

Noel, How would a guy get into the landscape lighting business? Do you offer training/contacts or just distribute to those already with a book of business?

I hope your tech uses a multimeter. Alot of companies are putting in lights, but I get calls to service systems ( not our install ) and take reading and wonder if there was even a consideration in voltage. I have picked up alot of clients who have been really frusterated with lighting, lights blowing really fast, etc. I think that all of us really need to put in well designed systems so lighting doesn't recieve a poor reputation. It is starting to happen with everyone adding lights to thier profile, and forgetting about quality and focusing on the profit.

It all starts with proper training and following systems that have been created by folks that are paid to figure these things out. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should or are able. Get the education, buy the right equipment and install quality products professionally, and LV lighting can be added as a profit center for your business.
