Anyone know if Dual wheels front and rear are made for this lawn tractor? I have a steep hillside and it seems to me that it would add to the safety.

There is no factory provision for dual wheels on the X-series. You'd have to make your own adapters.

The problem with duals is that it would put more stress on the axles inside the transmission which may break if it experiences driveline shock. You can try it, with a set of custom made adapters, but if an axle breaks then I'd hate to see what JD would say for your warranty.

Adding duals to the front is impractical because it will impair your tractor's steering ability.
