What is a Case 222 worth?

I'm moving and will no longer need a riding mower. Just curious what everyone thought a 1984 Case 222 lawn tractor might be worth. I bought it new, runs good, still has original tires, 44" cutting deck, hydraulic deck lift with hydrostatic tranny, 12HP Kohler.

A couple people have told me that collectors are buying these old well built lawn tractors like this one and restoring them. For that reason these lawn tractors apparently are bringing a pretty good price. I was originally thinking of selling it for 500 but after hearing about this, I might be too low??

Do a Google on "case 222" tractor. You'll get a bunch of sites to start your research. Just a quick glance says anywhere from $300 to $1000 with some fool asking $2500.

I picked up a chassis for one last year. Paid $30.
