This is the first week I have drove to all my accounts on my own since I just got my license last week and boy is it great.

I was in a rush today but I still wanted to take some pictures so I took them as I was leaving the street.

The first lawn is one of 4 that I mow on that street but it is probably the nicest on that street. I like this because I can drive for 2 minutes (these lawns are right up the street) park the truck, and mow 4 lawns without having to move the truck. I have 7 lawns just in my neighborhood which makes things easy.

Here are some more pics, I'll also take some more as the week goes on.

My front yard, I do a little nicer job now but this is when I first got my mower which was last fall.

This is my lawn before, when I used my old crapsmen 42'' rider.

Just got done washing the toys...

My dad ordered 15 yards of topsoil...did he think I was just going to let it sit in the driveway?

I was bored in the winter...

Sorry to annoy you but...another pic of my front yard, it was alot nicer this spring but there has been so much work to do around the house that we haven't had too much time to water it since we don't have an irrigation system.

can I make a suggestion?

Edge the curbside. It'd make a big difference.

I know I should. I did on my lawn but its kinda a pain I should probably bring the w/b edger there and see what I can do. Thanks for the suggestion.

Haha, it was the fourth of july today, as you probably know and there wasa big party at my house and my front yard looked awsome. I'll take a pic tommorow and some more this week. But I would much rather have a job working for someone else rather then myself as it's very stressful for me.

I have 6 accounts just in my neighborhood and I already have a couple more for next year. I also have some out of the neighborhood making a total of about 17 total accounts. It's hard I haven't been advertising that much since I didn't have too much time with school and also alot of my customers are asking me to do other jobs like mulch and stuff like that.

Most of my yards range from 1 small city house to a 2 acre lot, and it's all front yard. I'll post some more pics this week, I want some more nicer accounts and I'm looking to get a ZTR or possibly a hydro walk behind floating deck.

Good guess PL, it is a F-150. I'll take a pic of my rig, I'm adding walls to the trailer I have. I'm going to put my name on the walls which will be plywood. I bought all pressure treated lumber except the plywood because they didn't have anymore. Any suggestions on paint type/color. I have a red truck and trailer and I'm kind of stumped on whatt color I should paint the wood and the lettering which will have my name and number.

I also have to spend a little more time on properties. I have the tendency to rush which I have to stop doing. I have to start taking my time and doing the absolute best that I could and definetly raise prices next summer.

Here is the mower I use, this is the first day I brought it home.

Another...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v155/ThumperWrench89/DSC00178.jpg

No striping kit although if I come across some type of mat I will definetly add it to the back and see if the stripes improve. The main thing that I noticed with striping is that the lawn has a very very big affect on the stripes. Some lawns you have to really look to see the stripes and some you can't miss them.

I have to say I'm pretty happy with this mower. I was originally going to to with the eXmark metro but this one was a bit cheaper, the guy said it had better belts and it came with a 2 year commercial warrenty. The only thing is that it sqeaks when I turn off the blades (PTO) but I grease the spindles. Does anyone else experience this?

Premier landscaping,

Are you're stripes not straight or are they just not as defined? It could be the lawns. It's funny my girlfriend is staying at her cousins house up in michigan for 2 weeks as we speak.

If your stripes aren't straight you might just need some practice. If I was using a hydro mower my stripes probably wouldn't be straight either, I have never used one but I know they are very sensitive and I find my belt drive mower is very easy to keep straight except going diagnol on hills.

I am also thinking about buying a proslide, I know it will help the stripes and also be alot easier for me on those hot days, I'm just worried about more wear and tear on the mower (drive belts).

I'm surprised, it's probably the lawns, some of my lawns don't show either, how is the scalping on that viking?

I've noticed that thicker lawns stripe better, and my lawns are striping much better now that they are all died up.

LawnBoy89

yes the thicker the better I have noticed as well. I have one lawn that is like all crab grass type grass and it holds the stripes so well, I mean they lasted all through the winter. Also, I have 1 or 2 lawns that have completely DEAD patches of grass, since the grass is very weak it stripes well because it really gets laid down and doesn't comeback up like grass that is alive does.
