I have a Shin. BP blower, one year old. The last few weeks the engine has felt BAD at full rpm's. Felt like it was near throwing a rod. I have been using Shin One oil in all 2 cyc. equip.

I switched to Tanaka 2 cyc. oil 2 weeks ago. The Shin. is now noticably smoother. Coincidence? I assume the Shin One oil and Tanaka oil are basically the same? Are they different?

And yes, when the Shin blower DOES go, it'll be replaced with a Tanaka blower. Currently running Tanaka HTs, 230 trimmer, 550 edger, & chainsaw.

Hi,
Shindaiwa has 2 grades of oil - the Shindaiwa ONE is the cheaper version. Tanaka offers just one Premium Quality Oil - Perfect Mix®
