Need advise on slow growing areas of Tall Fescue

I've had Tall Fescue sod in for about 5 weeks now and it seems to be doing pretty good for Atlanta heat. I have had a couple of brown patches come out of no where and I've treated the grass with a fungicide about a week ago to see how it will do.

However, I have noticed when cutting the grass that I've got some areas where it doesn't seem to be growing anywhere near as fast as other areas. It seems that the areas with the most shade grow faster that the areas that get more sun. Is that normal?

I have the same problem with my fescue. I have some areas that are green but probably have not grown an inch in the last month. But then i have other areas that grow like crazy.

The grass under the shade is probably growing faster because of the shade. Its summertime and fescue will go dormaint in hot weather. The shaded areas generally are cooler and also contain more moisture.

Fescue goes dormate in the summer? I wasn't aware of that.
